Nuneaton

Values Academy Nuneaton is ideally located with local transport links. The school is positioned in a large recreational ground giving the students plenty of opportunity for the use of outdoor space including outdoor activities.

Values Academy Nuneaton holds 30 students meaning that class sizes are very small with approximately 6 students to a class. Groups are highly supported by Learning & Support Mentors and Teachers all of whom have vast experience working with children with challenging needs.

Our approach to learning allows for an individualised timetable which recognises students varying learning styles, ability to cope in a classroom environment and special educational needs. A wide range of curriculum subjects is offered along with vocational and pastoral courses which help students not only grow academically but socially, emotionally and behaviourally also.

As many of our students have found it difficult to achieve in their previous settings, we have adopted a more relaxed environment, without the need for a specific school uniform, opportunities to experience educational visits, a more flexible curriculum and opportunities for students to attend work related learning.

Our curriculum offers opportunities to undertake the ASDAN awards (Bronze, Silver and Gold) which are widely recognised and provide an engaging curriculum that empowers students through personalised learning and choices. The courses help to improve students’ confidence, self-esteem and resilience. In addition, they learn to develop core skills in teamwork, communication, problem solving, research and self-management.

Students that attend Values Academy are equipped with the skills to progress into either further education or work opportunities – this is fully supported so that their pathway to success continues beyond the time they spend with us.
