Values Academy delivers a broad and balanced curriculum. As a an independent school we are fortunate to be able to offer academic skills in addition to a therapeutic curriculum, which offers Anger Management, Emotional Coaching and a range of other specialist services.
Lessons are taught in small groups or in a one to one situation. All young people receive one to one support throughout their day from a Learning Mentor. This enables the young people to have a more productive day and regulate their own behaviour.

Purpose of study
At Values Academy we believe that a high-quality education in English will teach students to speak and write fluently so that they can communicate their ideas and emotions to others, and through their reading and listening, others can communicate with them.
Through reading a range of text students have a chance to develop culturally, emotionally, intellectually, socially and spiritually. Literature, especially, plays a key role in such development. This will enable students to become critical readers and develop their own skills as writers.
Students in key stage four follow the GCSE Specifications which are consistent with the national curriculum. Students also have the opportunity to gain a Functional Skill qualification in English.
